Shelley Burns has been performing professionally virtually all of her life and is regarded as one of the premier jazz vocalists on the west coast.
She has been teaching/coaching vocalists for many years and has conducted vocal workshops in conjunction with jazz festivals in the U.S., Greece, and Canada. She is currently the staff vocal instructor at two jazz camps and is also a highly respected Sacramento teacher and vocal coach.
Bill Dendle began playing banjo in 1963, and by 1967 was appearing at Mickie Finn's in San Diego as leader of the South Market Street Jazz Band, which also performed at Disneyland and on USO tours. He has been a professional musician/entertainer for both Disneyland and DisneyWorld, and still performs regularly in the Sacramento area – often with his wife, Shelley Burns.
Bill is a credentialed teacher and administrator and earned an MA in “Teaching and Learning” at UCSD.
He has taught literally every grade from kindergarten to college and has been the Director of the Teagarden Jazz Camp since 1999.
